Hello, peekers into the notes app!
Before you settle in with your turkey and stuffing today, I wanted to share two brief bits of exciting and delicious appetizers to whet your whistle and start stretching that stomach lining. Gross image? Let’s just go with it.
First up! My publisher is giving away FIFTY print copies of PASSION PROJECT over on Goodreads! All you have to do is click the link below, create an account, and input your delivery address and you’ll be entered to win one! This is one of the only opportunities to get the print copy before publication in the spring, and I can confirm, they’re super adorable and make an excellent shelf addition. If you win one, I expect selfies and reading updates. And if you hate it, I invite you to lie with enthusiasm!
Second up! You may have heard or seen me talk about this on social media, but I’ve never made mention of it on the newsletter—so here it is in case you missed it! PASSION PROJECT was included in Buzz Books 2024: Romance a few months back. This is a catalogue of upcoming romances that are new or buzz worthy for the next season. If you would like a sneak peek, you can read two sample chapters of PASSION PROJECT alongside a whole bunch of other great books coming out soon by downloading Buzz Books below!
And lastly, as we enter the season of gratitude, I wanted to list a couple of things I’m thankful for here. It’s an extensive list, so please consider the following bullet points an abridged version of the whole shebang.
Today, I am thankful for:
Nerds Gummy Clusters
Diet Dr. Pepper
Romance Novels
Emily Henry
The best friends in the world
The best family in the world
Anyone who’s read and reviewed an advanced copy of PP - I see you, and I <3 you
Coconut anything (flavored or scented)
Ali Hazelwood
Taylor Swift
All of the pop girlies, actually (shout out Sabrina Carpenter)
The Romance Community
Talia Hibbert
Evie Dunmore
Wicked for reminding me I cannot run from my theatre kid self nor do I want to
Juicy Pear Jelly Beans
Finding out that Las Vegas is just as camp and ridiculous as I thought it would be
Mashed potatoes
My heating pad
My really nice new desk chair that doesn’t make my back hurt
Poppy the puppy
Caesar salad and French fries
Bookstores that have big romance sections
Soft fabrics
Being in the class of 2025 debuts!
And lastly, YOU.
This journey—and this whole year—has taught me that gratitude is often the answer. When things are difficult, or if they’re stressful and uncomfortable, simply reminding myself to lead with gratitude keeps the monsters at bay. Even if it’s small, say thank you to something today. It’ll make you feel better.
I hope you all (in the USA) have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. (You can eat 5 pounds of mashed potatoes and pull a muscle doing it because that’s absolutely something I’d do.)
Till next time.
Your long winded friend,
London
P.S. Care for some book recs?
Four Weekends and a Funeral by Ellie Palmer for a love letter to homebodies, Minnesota, Thin Mints, warm and tender love stories about finding love through grief, BRCA and breast cancer rep, and swoony bearded love interests that remind you of Nick from New Girl. It’s also a fantastic Thanksgiving/Holiday read!
Last Call at the Local by Sarah Grunder Ruiz for incredible OCD and ADHD representation, dreamy portrayals of cozy Irish pubs in the winter, a cat named Princess Ugly, and a delicious love story about finding someone who matches you and your energy step for step.
For One Night Only by Jessica James for anyone who believes pop-punk is not dead, who loves electric chemistry both on and off stage, who scream and shout for second chance romance, and who think sharing a microphone during a set is downright sexy. This book comes out in just over one month and I loved it! Give it a pre-order :)
you're so right for putting nerds gummy clusters at the very top of this list 🤍 and so so excited for your book to soon be in the world!!!!
