Thank you
Times like, a hundred bajillion
Hello my friends,
Last year on Thanksgiving, I was new to promoting Passion Project, all full of jitters and angst as I rounded the corner into debut year. It was a peaceful yet stressful time—the calm before the storm. And if you know me, you know I can stress out with the best of them. So I took a moment on my newsletter to list everything I was grateful for, to remind myself that leading with gratitude is a really great antidote to anxiety. It’s my magic trick, honestly, and it works like a charm.
So here it is—the second annual London Is Thankful for This List:
Greta Gerwig’s Little Women
Glen Powell with scruff
Historical Romance
Passion Project being a member fave for December on Book of the Month Club
Stadium Hot Dogs
Ariana’s press tour outfits as Glinda
Sauvignon Blanc
Bennet & Henry
Teddi & Reid
All of the author friends I met this year
Candle warmers
Knowing you all won’t judge me when you notice that I changed the name of this newsletter
Space heaters
Re-falling in love with the theater from a seat in the audience
Making soup on Sundays
Soft serve ice cream with rainbow sprinkles
Old Navy button-ups
NYC during Christmas time
Getting to share a whole new story with you soon (!!!)
Weird shoes (iykyk)
Having new ideas that feel like new beginnings
Being home for the holidays
The MET statue room
Hitting 30k ratings for PP on Goodreads the day before Thanksgiving (this is literally unreal)
Black Friday deals on items that have been in my cart all year
Finally having time to unwind with my TBR
The People We Meet on Vacation movie (If this is a flop I will cry)
Getting to meet so many readers in 2025
The best friends and family in the world
Learning to trust the process
Girls trips
Supper club
Watching my friends enter new phases of life
Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein’s creature
Self dinner dates
Discovering living, breathing proof that dreams come true
I say this often, but it’s only because I mean it—I am a well of gratitude and I don’t think I will ever find the bottom. To any person who has picked up a copy of Passion Project: you have changed my outlook on life and the story I tell about myself. It’s a gift I will cherish forever.
Enjoy your holiday, whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving or just cozying in with a soft blanket and a cup of tea. I, personally, will be seeing Wicked Part 2, and then I will be slipping peacefully into a food coma which I don’t expect to wake up from until December.
Till then.
Your long-winded friend,
London
